Apartments for rent in Toronto
Depending on the purposes of your trip to Toronto, you may consider short-term furnished apartment rentals, medium-term furnished apartment rentals (one month and longer) or long-term unfurnished apartments in Toronto.
Renting an apartment in Toronto for a few nights instead of a hotel room has several important advantages, especially if you are travelling with family or friends. With apartment rentals in Toronto you will have a home all to yourselves for one price that will beat hotel rates any day.
All furnished apartments always include a separate bedroom (unless you specifically want to rent a studio), a living room, a bathroom, and most importantly a fully functional kitchen.
You will also get internet access that will be market-, not hotel-priced. You will be able to invite people over and live by your own schedule.
If you are coming to Toronto to study, for an extended business trip, or even for good, staying in a rental apartment is a more feasible option for long-term accommodation in Toronto.
Long-term rates provide you with even more savings, and you can choose to live virtually anywhere in the city according to your preferences and budget.
Sweet Home Abroad operates apartment and villa short-term vacation rentals in Europe and North America.

Getting to the Falls

Niagara Falls, ON lies 128 km away from Toronto. Getting there by car or bus is the fastest and most convenient way of reaching the Falls, however, train service by VIA Rail and train/bus combo service by GO Transit are also available.

If you are driving from Toronto to Niagara Falls, the route is fairly straightforward: take the Gardiner Expressway West, continue onto Queen Elizabeth Way and drive along until you reach Exit ON 420 East, which you take and then follow the signs towards "The Falls/Niagara Falls U.S.A." In normal traffic the journey takes about 1 hour 25 minutes.

Megabus and Greyhound operate buses to Niagara Falls, with several departures to choose from daily. Buses depart from Toronto Coach bus terminal on 610 Bay St and drop off passengers in the old Niagara Falls, 5 minutes' drive or about 20 minutes' walk away from the actual Falls. Tickets cost $16 each way or more, depending on the season and time of booking. If you are looking to travel by a private shuttle, many companies will be happy to arrange a trip for you, but for a considerable fee.

VIA Rail, the Canadian railway, operates a year-round direct train service from Toronto Union Station to Niagara Falls, with one-way fares starting as low as $16.95 in winter, but subject to availability and rising significantly in summertime. Generally, the more in advance you book, the better deal you are likely to get.

GO Transit operates a mixed train/bus service to Niagara Falls from Union Station: trains proceed to Burlington, from where passengers are required to transfer to a GO bus, which takes them the rest of the way to Niagara Falls. One-way ticket costs $22.60, and the schedule is much more permissive than that of VIA Rail, with multiple daily departures available.
