Bookings of apartments, houses and villas on Sweet Home Abroad are completed securely online with a valid credit card. Money is paid directly to the partnering company that manages your property of choice locally (prepares it for check-in, orders cleaning, holds keys to it etc). Questions related to check-in, keys distribution and other aspects of your accommodation should be directed to the management company.
Please be advised that Sweet Home Abroad acts as an intermediary travel consultant. Our employees worldwide do not handle financial aspects of the booking process. Their responsibility is to help you make a reservation in a way that is most convenient for you and to answer your questions both before and after the booking is completed. By submitting payment, you enter into a legal contract with the local management company and not with Sweet Home Abroad.
Listed below are the general guidelines for booking a property. More specific rules of reservations, cancellations, and terms and conditions of service are determined by our partnering management companies. Please read these rules before making a payment. After making a payment you will receive an e-mail with the confirmation of booking and all the pertinent information related to it, including the address of the property and check-in instructions.
1. When booking, you are required to pay a deposit that ranges from 15% to 100% of the cost of accommodation. Valid credit cards are the only accepted method of payment for online bookings.
2. If you decide to cancel the booking, the deposit already paid is non-refundable.
3. Each management company determines fees that apply to cancellations. In vast majority of cases, the non-refundable nature of the deposit is all that applies, however, in case of a "no-show" or if the cancellation occurred less than 3 days prior to check-in, the cancellation charges may vary.
4. You are responsible for familiarizing yourself with the cancellation policy for the property you wish to book, and booking it constitutes acceptance with said policy. Cancellation fees are charged to the credit card you provided during booking.
Booking by request
Bookings of some apartments and villas listed on Sweet Home Abroad require approval by the management company. In this case, when booking, you will be asked to fill out a simple reservation request form, which will be responded to by one of our consultants within 12 hours. Once the approval of the management company is received, the property will be available to be booked in a regular manner вЂ“ online with a valid credit card.

Changing the number of guests
There will be no partial refunds for a lower number of guests staying at the booked property.
Accommodation cancellation insurance
If you wish to receive a full refund in case of a cancellation, we recommend you consider buying insurance that covers trip cancellation and interruption.
